Octobers Member Showcase

by SLIB

This month Bev Alderson from Practically Balanced and Emma Green from Reminiscence Learning showcased their businesses for us.

Bev Alderson works with individuals, groups and workplaces who are wanting to take a more positive and proactive approach to enhancing their health and wellbeing and in turn achieve greater results.

She hasn’t always done this.  Previously she spent 18+ years performing high pressured management roles within the Finance and IT industries in both the UK and Australia.  During this time she got to learn first-hand the impacts of a high-pressure environment and lifestyle and how left unchecked it can negatively impact personal effectiveness and health.

The question of how we can maintain ourselves under pressure and continue to be healthy and successful first became an interest, then a passion and has been her full time vocation since 2013.

She brings authenticity to the services and events she provide today, drawing upon her experience and education in management, mindfulness, stress management, yoga and more!

Emma Green explained that Reminiscence Learning is a Regional and National Award winning registered charity based in Wellington, Somerset. They provide a specialist training experience for three main areas within the care industry: dementia, reminiscence and activities.

A dedicated team of people work together to ensure that all training courses are prepared and delivered in a professional and educational way yet are fun, practical and thought provoking with comprehensive resource files and certificate.

They train people at all levels of ability and needs and are therefore suitable for Private Individuals, Carers, Volunteers, Professionals, NHS Trusts, Nursing and Residential Homes, Day Hospitals, Community Centres and businesses.
